Day 2 Consecrated for Fire

"Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your true and proper worship." — Romans 12:1 (NIV)

Devotional Thought:

Fire doesn’t fall on empty altars; it falls on sacrifice. In the Old Testament, when the people of God built an altar and offered a pure sacrifice, fire from heaven would come and consume it. The same is true today. Revival isn’t just a feeling; it’s the result of surrender.

Consecration is the setting apart of your life for God’s use. It’s saying, “Lord, I don’t just want more of You, I want You to have all of me.” Fasting isn't about what you're giving up; it's about what you're giving to God. The fire you're seeking begins with the offering of yourself.

Today, lay down distractions, hidden sins, selfish ambitions, and even good things that have become idols. Don’t just want His fire; become His altar. Let your worship be costly and your life fully surrendered.

Prayer Focus:

Surrender every area of your life that needs realignment. Ask God to reveal anything that competes with His place in your heart. Pray for strength to live a lifestyle of holiness, not just during the fast but beyond. Invite the Holy Spirit to purify your desires, decisions, and direction.
